Projekt: The New 52 - Update

Star Wars – The Old Republic: Personal Characters Prelude
The following story is meant as prelude for the two characters I am planing to make in the upcoming Star Wars mmorpg. Both characters will be members of the republic. One will be a male trooper and the other one a female jedi counselar. No names are given to those two, cause I haven’t made my final decission for the names. So have fun reading it and feel free to leave a comment.
Many years ago:
The boy screamend and cried. His uncle could barely hold him back. Last week the boy had lost his parents. A group of outlaws took them hostage and the jedi was to late to stop the local security force from doing something harsh. They died in the crossfire.
Why did the boy cry? The same jedi took his sister. She was force-sensitive and would be trained to be a jedi one day. The boy didn’t understand. He only knew that now he had lost everything!
Weeks ago:
The boy, now a man, now a soldier, was lying in of the beds of the field bases med center. Recently wounded. Lost his right eye and got terrible burns. Got the wounds during his last mission. A mission usually done by a troop of commandos. Problem was there were none around. Field command looked for volunteers. He was one of them. The mission was a success. But it came with horrible cost. Six soldiers went in. Only two came back. The sergeant and himself were the only survivors. The soldiers wounds nothing compared to the wounds of the sergeant. The sergeant didn’t survive the surgery. In total: Five more who gave their life in the line of duty.
Soon he would be also on a surgery table. Geting his dead eye replaced with cybernetics. Some new kind of scaning technology or something like that. Everything went smooth and two days later he got visit from a captain. A captain from planet HQ. Told the soldier that he wouldn’t return to his former unit. Some people on top were impressed by his work during the mission. He got promoted. Now a sergeant he would leave the planet as soon as he was fit for duty. He would become a republic commando.
The sister, the girl, now a young woman and a padawan learner. She was nervous. Waiting in front of the councils room. Waiting for her master to come out. Sure, it wasn’t ‚the jedi council‘, only the council of the small enclave she lived and was trained. Not sure if she should talk a few steps or sit still, she tried to get her mind of. She started to think about her brother. Too bad there weren’t many memories. Too young she was, when she was taken away. Her brother only ten years old she had just turned four. Not much time to get a lot of memories. Somehow she felt a little guilty for not sending him a message, like the other young ones had done. But how could she? What should she tell him? Right now, she didn’t even now where he was.
The doors of the councils chamber opend, bringing her thoughts back to the moment ahead. Her master came to her. He smiled, but at the same time he looked sad. „The time has come, my padawan“, he said. She knew what he meant and like her master happiness and sadness came at the same time. Sad because she had to leave the place she called home for so many years and to leave the person who was not just a teacher to her, but also a father and a friend. Happy cause her journey to become a full jedi was near to an end.
Both now on their way to fullfill their destinies in the service of the republic. It will take many more years until the siblings will finally meet again.
